This blog just got a new lick of paint!
No longer is this blog bound by some standard theme. Now it is free and all material-design-y!
This blog is built using the Bolt CMS framework. Up till today it has been using the built-in "Foundation" theme.
However, I felt that I should update the theme. The standard theme was nice and all, but I wanted something more... material-design-y.
So this is the result of my work. The theme isn't fully complete (you'll see some glitches and missing styles here and there) but it's good enough for now. Over the next few months/weeks/days I'll be extending this theme some more.
This theme was built based on the Foundation theme that came with Bolt, but was then extended with Google's Material Design Lite. Material Design Lite is a small web framework that allows websites to quickly implement Material Design.
I had to mess around with the Twig files for this theme a lot. This means my theme is not very compatible with the Foundation theme. It's also very much targeted at my specific use case.
If you're interested in the source code, let me know! I'll be glad to provide you with the code and explanations if you'd like to know more about it.
